Cabochons

CabochonsCabochons (cabs) are a cut of stone, glass or other material that is flat on one side and domed on the other. While most cabs are round or oval, they can also be cut in other shapes, including assymetricals.

Cabs are not drilled, and must be wrapped with wire, beads, or set in bezels to hold them in place. Cabs are used most often for pendants, but are also commonly employed in bracelets, earrings, and pins.
