Ruby

The ruby is a precious gemstone that is considered one of the most valuable. Rubies are harvested using old fashioned panning methods, and look very different in the rough form than when they are cut and polished. The ruby is the July birthstone and represents the fifteenth, the fortieth and the eightieth wedding anniversaries. It is customary for royal monarchs to celebrate 40 years of rule with a Ruby Jubilee.

The ruby is said to enhance confidence and self-esteem, is energizing and promotes circulation.
