How Many Beads Per Inch?

When designing a bracelet or necklace, it can be helpful to know how many beads you will need, especially if you are buying new supplies!

The chart below indicates how many beads (in commonly used sizes) will be needed to complete a standard sized bracelet, anklet or necklace. Additional measurement should be added for clasp size when determining the overall length of the piece. If designing jewelry for a length not noted on the chart, multiply the 1" number of beads by the desired length.
