Wubbers are Wunderful!

Wubbers Pliers

Wubbers pliers feature ultra-smooth stainless steel jaws, nice springs, and ergonomic handles that are a must for anyone who works with wire or chainmaille.

Wubbers are available in five different styles of pliers: round nose, narrow flat nose, chain nose, bent nose and wide flat nose.

I ordered a pair of the bent nosed pliers after my older pair bit the dust from Wired Up Beads. They arrived in short order, and after using them only a few times, I went back to order a pair of chain nosed pliers!

I really like the longer handles, which don't bruise the "meat" of my palm when I'm working on an intense chainmaille project. The padding on the handles is very nice — just enough to cushion the handles, but I still have good karma with my pliers. (Wire workers probably understand what I'm saying — your pliers are almost an extension of your hands, and you don't want to lose that delicate "feel" that is necessary to prevent death-grip and nicks on your wire!)

Just a minor negative — the jaws are sooo smooth that it's difficult to use these pliers for stringing work (pulling that loose end of beading wire back through the crimp) but I still have my old pliers for that job.

At around $25 per pliers, they are not cheap, but much less than Lindstrom pliers. I have a pair of Lindstrom's, and while I love them, I can't justify the additional cost when I love the Wubbers just as much!
