Level: Beginner

Materials
Beading wire
Small porcelain letter beads (available from Rings N Things)
6mm sterling silver or silver plated round beads (24+ depending on the number of letter beads and the length of the necklace)
6mm Swarovski crystal bicones in school colors (2)
Crimp beads (2)
Clasp

Cut beading wire approximately 11 inches long. I like to use a binder clip on one end of the wire initially to keep the beads from falling off while I am stringing.

Lay out porcelain letter beads to spell out "Eagles" (substitute your school name or mascot). String the porcelain beads on the beading wire.

Remove the binder clip, and hold on to both ends of the wire. String Swarovski crystals at the beginning and end of the letter beads. Continue to string additional round silver beads until the necklace is the desired length. I've also added some star shaped pewter beads for interest between the crystals and round beads.

Put the binder clip at one end of the wire while you add the clasp. Add one end of the clasp by stringing a crimp bead, going through the clasp ring and going back through the crimp and 1-2 beads. Crimp the crimp bead, testing the hold before clipping excess wire. Repeat on other side after removing binder clip.
