Necklace
Materials
17" .014 (or fine) beading wire (Softflex, Beadalon, Accuflex)
13 6mm colored round or bicone beads, pearls, or semi-precious stones
26 3mm round hematite beads
26 3mm daisy spacers
14 ½" silver-lined glass tubes
2 3mm silver plated rounds beads
2 2mm sterling crimp beads
1 small silver toggle
Instructions
Using a crimping pliers, crimp one end of the beading wire to the round toggle component, leaving approximately 3mm of "tail" beyond the crimp bead. Test the crimp by pulling gently on both the toggle and wire to ensure it does not slip.
String one 3mm silver plated round bead on the wire, ensuring that the tail of the wire is also strung inside the bead.
Begin stringing the pattern as follows: silver-lined glass tube, hematite bead, daisy spacer, 6mm colored bead, daisy spacer, hematite bead. Repeat until all have been used.
String one 3mm silver plated bead at the end of the pattern (this bead will aid in keeping the delicate glass tubes at the end from breaking during crimping and wear.)
String one crimp bead. String the beading wire directly through the round end of the bar of the toggle. Run the wire back through the crimp wire, the 3mm silver plated round bead and the last glass tube. Using a bent nose pliers, carefully grasp the loose end of the wire and gently pull it until the crimp bead is approximately 1mm from the toggle bar and the necklace beads are lined up together, but not tight. Using the crimping pliers, crimp the crimp bead. Test the necklace by gently pulling on both toggles. The crimps should hold tight and the wire should not slip.
Clip the excess wire very close to the glass bead, ensuring that there is no excess wire poking out from between the beads.
